@Mark – Thank you for your kind words. Your trip sounds epic! Can’t wait to hear all about it. On the 100km+ days, I usually cycled for ~6 -8 hours, depending on how hard the wind was blowing and how hard it was raining, but I certainly didn’t have the experience that you do.

@Ciquta – Thank you. I didn’t have a problem with mosquitos as I was there in June and they weren’t out yet, I have heard they can be problematic in July and August, which is why I planned my cycling trip earlier.

You didn’t mention mosquitos, I heard it’s quite a big issue in Finland… isn’t it?

Thanks Natalia! Accommodation was approximately €100 a night, but you have the option of camping for free. For lunch I went to the grocery store and bought something usually around €10, and dinners were usually between €15-20. Hope that gives you an idea.

@Dianne – Congrats! Very exciting! I definitely recommend making reservations since they are limited along the way, and at the end of a long day of cycling the last thing I wanted to do was try to track down accommodations. Great that you have a tent. It was hillier than I expected, not huge hills, but just a lot of smaller ones. Please let me know how your trip goes. I’d love to hear about it!

@Jean-Luc That sounds like an amazing adventure! The Eurovelo 13 is NOT sign posted at all in Finland yet, as the funding hasn’t come through. Having said that, I was fine using Google maps.
