Climb your 1st mountaineering summit, “the Petit Flambeau,” at a height of 3407m (11,179 ft)”. While doing the TMB, you always see glacier-covered Mont Blanc without getting close to it. This tour changes that!

You’ll take the  Skyway Monte Bianco mountain cable car from Courmayeur and make your first steps on a glacier at the Punta Helbronner at 3466m (11,371 ft)!

Our mountain guide will provide you with the appropriate equipment as you take your first steps at your own pace across the Geant Glacier, one of the biggest glaciers of the Mont Blanc range.

You’ll be transported to a totally different universe above the clouds for a high alpine unforgettable experience. Your guide will lead you up to the high alpine summit of Petit Flambeau!

It is suitable for anyone, including children ages 12 and up, who can hike the TMB as the elevation gain and distance covered is minimal. Includes a return transfer from your accommodation in Courmayeur.

This is a great option for your rest day in Courmayeur if you’re doing the Tour du Mont Blanc, as it’s not too strenuous and you’ll still have the afternoon to relax. It’s also suitable as a stand-alone half-day trip.

  • Gondola lift return tickets for the Skyway Monte Bianco
  • Mountaineering shoes, harness, & crampons
  • Return transfer from your accommodation in Courmayeur to the Skyway

FAQs ABOUT OUR MONT BLANC GLACIER TOURS

Do I need any previous experience to do these glacier tours?

No. They’re technically easy, and your guide will show you exactly what to do. The tours vary in terms of length and elevation gain, though, so choose the tour that’s most appropriate for your physical fitness.

Will I feel any altitude sickness?

You may feel a bit lightheaded, but as it’s a private guided tour, you can take your time, rest when you need to and walk slowly.

Do I need any special equipment?

You need regular hiking clothing, including a jacket, beanie, and gloves – glaciers can be a bit chilly! Your mountain guide will provide you with mountaineering shoes, crampons, harness, and ropes.

Will I be summitting Mont Blanc?

While you will get incredible views of Mont Blanc, you won’t be submitting it as that’s a real multi-day expedition that does require technical mountaineering skills.
