It is a world-class destination indeed. I lived there for 2-1/2 years of diving, sightseeing, shopping, festivals, great food, beautiful coastlines and sunsets.
My wife and I also enjoyed life in northern Japan. Awesome ski resorts, hot spring resorts, wilderness trails, mountain hikes, beautiful fall foliage and unique culture.
I definitely endorse exploring Japan. We took a week driving from Aomori to Okinawa, seeing castles, temples, shrines, campgrounds and historical sites along the way. Tokyo, Kyoto, Nara, Hiroshima and the Nikko area were highlights.

How very much has changed since then, as I view these pictures, and how very much has “stayed the same”!! I yearn to see it all again, but don’t want to erase the great memories I have of when I was there! I have fond and lovely memories!!
