CEG4 is just north of the Midland Provincial Park marker on this map. A good alternative for pilots and friends of pilots with small planes. 3500×75 ft asphalt runway at 2599′ msl. Call for ground transportation info.

The hike down and back up can be quite a challenge especially if you head down the West side of the canyon near the parking area. Great view of the canyon even if you don’t do the hike. A great way to spend an afternoon if you are into hiking and exploring.

Thanks.

I took my 12 year old grandson there 2 years ago and we had so much fun. I included many of these places in my book Amanda in Alberta- The Writing on the Stone. Your article and pictures are excellent!
