@Noel Agreed, but from the climbers I spoke to it appears to happen quite frequently and it puts everyone on the mountain in danger.

Considering the sums of money changing hands it seems someone hasn’t been doing their job. Imagine what would have been reported if 16 clients and guides had been buried but the porters weren’t able to dig them out in time as they weren’t equipped and trained.
