haha i was doing my first and quick web search about this trip in the context that i am organizing it for next june and i found myself at these site. And then i started reading the cooments and there has been none made since 2019….hope this is just cause of corona. but nevermind i am just writing this to say a thanks for the info provided. In reply to Sylvie Dion. @Sylvie, you can either lock it to your bike (but I don't recommend doing that with valuables) or bring it with you. I had panniers so put my important stuff in one and slung it over my shoulder. It's much more convenient to have luggage transfer so that you don't need to worry about bringing it with you.

Hi Caroline – The cycle path continues through Vienna for sure as I cycled it but I didn’t cycle it further than Vienna so can’t comment on the other cities.

Could you tell me whether the cycle paths continue through cities like Vienna, Bratislava and Budapest? We are hoping to cycle next year, and although it looks lovely on the majority of the route I am concerned about how busy the cities might be. Thank you
